Sanford Parade Partnership with Wilkinson Automotive

At Wilkinson Automotive, we believe in supporting the local Sanford, NC community in any way we can. That’s why our Sanford Chevy dealership is involved in countless community events and local charities that help better our entire community. One of the events we are most proud to be apart of is the yearly Sanford Christmas Parade. This event is the perfect chance for everyone, both locals and tourists, to come together to celebrate the upcoming Christmas holiday. In addition, this event is also a great opportunity for local businesses to showcase their support of the Sanford, NC community. 

The Sanford Christmas Parade is a yearly tradition that has been going on for a whopping 60 years! This parade takes place during the first Monday in December and begins at 7 pm. The parade begins at the corner of Carthage and Wicker and winds its way through the entire downtown area. This parade features numerous different holiday and Christmas-themed floats. Several local businesses, including Wilkinson Automotive, helped support this year’s event by paying to have a float in the parade. Not only do the floats help encourage residents to shop local, but they also showcase local businesses’ support of the entire community.

The yearly Sanford Christmas Parade would not be possible without the support and continued help from businesses like Wilkinson GMC Sanford. Our dealership works in conjunction with the Sanford Jaycees to put on this annual parade that is the highlight of the holiday season. We encourage drivers to shop local and visit our dealership to test drive our 2020 models, like the new GMC Terrain. Our dealership also serves the nearby towns of Pittsboro and Southern Pines, NC.
